What We Believe
-
The Scriptures – Inspired by God; declare His design and plan for mankind. (2 Timothy 3:15–17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21)
-
One True God – Revealed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (the Trinity). (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22)
-
Deity of Jesus Christ – Eternal Son of God; virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, exaltation to God’s right hand; fully human and fully divine. (Matthew 1:23; Hebrews 7:26; Acts 2:22; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:9, 11)
-
Humanity and Sin – Humanity was originally good but willingly fell into sin, bringing physical and spiritual death. (Genesis 1:26–27; Genesis 3:6; Romans 5:12–19)
-
Salvation (Cardinal Doctrine) – Restored fellowship with God comes through faith and repentance, trusting Christ as personal Savior. (Luke 24:47; John 3:3; Romans 10:13–15; Ephesians 2:8–9)
-
Baptism in the Holy Spirit (Cardinal Doctrine) – A special experience after salvation that empowers believers for witness and service, as in New Testament times. (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4–8; Acts 2:4)
-
Initial Physical Evidence – Speaking in tongues, as on the Day of Pentecost, is the first physical sign of Spirit baptism. (Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44–46; Acts 19:6)
-
The Church & Mission – The Body of Christ; called to seek and save the lost, made up of all who have accepted redemption through Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 1:22–23; Matthew 28:19–20; Mark 16:15–16)
-
The Blessed Hope (Cardinal Doctrine) – Jesus will rapture His Church before His return to earth; believers, living and dead, will be caught up to be with the Lord forever. (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Titus 2:13)
-
New Heavens & New Earth – After Christ’s millennial reign, believers will dwell forever with Him in the perfect new creation. (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:1–4)
